Sunlight and Shadows

I shot this a couple of months ago, before the leaves began to fall. Nothing super special, I just liked how shapes of the maple leaves filled both positive and negative spaces, creating a interesting Escher-like image.

Dusk Falls

Continuing the theme of abstracts, here is an image that I made earlier this year. As the title indicates, I shot this during that special time when day turns to night.

Waves to the Shore

One of the things that calms my heart is shooting by the water at sunset on a mellow evening, watching and listening to the waves roll ashore. In this interpretive piece, I tried to capture the feeling of such an evening.

I shot this on a cold, clear winter evening, right after the sun had dropped below the horizon. They say the hour after sunset is magical. This was one of those evenings.

Fall

Lately, I’ve been thinking about impressionism, interpretive and abstract photography. This is an image that I created to reflect the season. It is a single exposure, created in-camera with no processing/photoshop special effects.
