Passers-by peer into the window of the local roast and grilled meats place. I made this image in the Changning district of Shanghai. Windows like this dot the bustling streets of most Chinese cities and, come to think of it, most Chinese communities around the world. This stuff is our fast food.

  1. Can you imagine if McDonald’s introduce McRoast Meat?!
    Would you be the first person queuing for that burger?

    • Ha ha! Some of the Asian McD’s have (or used to have) localized sandwiches like rendang burgers in Singapore and many pork burgers in Thailand.

    Maybe you can get McRoast in HK!
    You know these HK people love their food at lot. 😉

  3. Enjoyed looking at the roast duck on the far right, seems so relaxed so calm. I guess he hasn’t noticed he was plucked, cooked, and hung. Ha…
